David Ashworth Gates (born December 11, 1940 Tulsa, OK) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, musician and producer, frontman and co-lead singer (with Jimmy Griffin) of the group Bread, which reached the tops of the musical charts in Europe and North America on several occasions in the 1970s. The band was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

David Gates success - 20. Juli 2012
I've been trying unsuccessfully for years to get singer David Gates ttm. Best known for his work with the group Bread, he also had many solo hits in the 1970s and early 1980s. Thanks to an address that was passed along to me, I got a success today. He signed a picture collage and wrote a nice note in reference to my comments about the incredible musicianship of his fellow Bread member, the late Larry Knechtel.
Sent on June 20, 2012, received today. I didn't save the envelope, and if I get a chance, I'll scan the collage.
