I wrote to David McCallum who plays "Ducky" in NCIS and got my most personalised photo to date back from him soon after (well, relatively soon - I live in Denmark after all).

David Mccallum (Ducky) NCIS success 2X - November 14th, 2012
Sent a letter of request to NCIS star David Mccallum on October 3rd 2012 and today November 14th 2012, my dad got a personalized photo signed by David himself and then we got a pre print photo of the cast personalized to my dad and I. Great Success and thankfully he sent something for us. Bad thing was, the mailed handled the envelope and pictures terribly but at least the pics were ok.

Looks like they put a personal address on and then it was stamped as unable to forward. Other people seem to have had success with the NCIS address, so Im going to try that one. Fortunately I can reuse everything with the exception of the outside envelope.
