Warwick Davis (Harry Potter, Star Wars) paid SUCCESS! - 29. November 2011
I have gone through alot to get this one lol. On Warwicks official website there is an option to have him sign youre own personal item that you can send in, for a fair price, and I decided to have him sign my HP1 dvd cover. Back in Sept i made the purchase on his website, and was given shipping instructions along with a printable shipping label. I mailed it to the address they gave me, and in mid november I got a RTS and the UK post office had written it wasnt a valid address. I emailed Warwicks people telling them what happened, and I got a response from his assistant saying the address was indeed still valid, and the post office screwed up. The assistant was very helpful though, and gave me a new address to ship it too and said hed make sure it got to Warwick to sign. So on 11/17/11 I sent to to the assistant, and today (11/29/11) I got it back signed and personalized with a little message on it!

My scanner makes it a little hard to read, but it says "Michael, MAGIC! (his signature) Flitwick Goblin Bank Teller Swish and flick!"
Im very happy to get this back after so long . Warwick is a fantastic actor, and has been in many movie including Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Narnia. Thank you to warwicks people for having great customer service too after the post office messed up!  This is my 9th overall Harry Potter Success

Warwick Davis pruchased FAILURE? - 07. November 2011
Alright this is weird. So on Warwicks official website there is is an option where you can can send in your own item to have signed for like $25. After paying, they sent me an email with instructions and a printable shipping label. On sept 14, I sent an envelope containing the reciept and a Harry Potter DVD cover to be signed. Today I got a RTS because apparently the PO box was "not in use." But the RTS was marked on sept 28th, and I didnt get it back till today, nov 7th. I'm not sure why it took so long for it to get returned. I emailed Warwick's people and told them what happened and pretty much asked them what's going on...? Still waiting to hear back.
This is just a really weird one. I'm starting to wish I had just purchased a signed picture off his website rather then send in my own. But I'm hoping to get it resolved quickly because i spent a decent amount of $ on it and I just really want his autograph lol.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Warwick Davis RTS update with glimmer of hope - 07. Dezember 2007
As you may have read I posted a RTS from Warwick Davis last week. I sent a SASE along with a letter and got it back as a RTS (PO BOX cancelled) over 2 months later. Anyway, I continued to email warwick using this email address which failed for some time:
myfanmail at warwickdavis.co.uk (note if you request an autograph you will only be told to send a SASE)
and yesterday I got a reply from his secretary. She said she Warwick Davis was upset to hear of my RTS as he spends a lot of money to make sure he recieves his fanmail. She said that Warwick himself would ask at his local Post ofice to look in to the matter to see what has been going on.
She continues: Warwick recives fanmail EVERY SINGLE DAY with the following adddress on the envelope so cant explain my RTS and as far as they are concirned there is nothing wrong with the address. I was told to send my letter again and another large SASE to:

I BELIEVE THJE SECRETARY BUT ITS WEIRD ABOUT THE RETURN TO SENDERS REPORTED THEN ISNT IT?
Anyway with this in mind today I posted one more request to Warwick. I posted it Special Delivery so there is no reason he shouldnt get it. I am aware he is in panto from today until January sometime so I wont get a reply for ages but her secretary said when she sees my name on the senders details on the enelope she will put it on the priority pile so hopefully I will be have the luck of the irish this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
