Eileen Whelan (RTE News) - Pioneering Success! - 23. January 2014 Eileen Whelan is an Irish news anchorwoman and sometimes reporter who often hosts news bulletins on Ireland's RTÃâ°. Like many of RTÃâ°'s top news staff, she began her career in radio news before joining the TV news division. She often hosts either the Six-One or Nine O' Clock news bulletins. She is a 'relief presenter', who fills in for the regular presenter on certain days.
